Our Vision
Our vision is to create a thriving network of Scouts and community partners across the North Shore District of the Capitol Area Council of Scouting America, fostering a spirit of service, civic engagement, and mutual support. The North Shore District encompasses Leander and Lago Vista ISDs, which include the communities of Leander, Lago Vista, Cedar Park, and parts of Round Rock, Georgetown, Jonestown, and north Austin (Steiner Ranch).
Our Mission
To align with Scouting’s core values of community service and civic duty by providing dedicated Scout volunteers at various local events. This program not only supports our community but also enriches the scouting experience. The Community Ties project aims to strengthen the North Shore District’s engagement with the broader community by fostering relationships between scouts, scouters, and the residents of the communities we serve. These connections are essential for promoting civic engagement, community service, and the core values of Scouting.
COMING SOON FOR NORTH SHORE DISTRICT UNITS….
To support unit annual planning, we will have an interest form outlining 2025–2026 volunteer opportunities and community events. This form will include tentative dates and allow units to indicate which events they are interested in, helping them incorporate these opportunities into their annual calendars.
Based on the responses, we will work to secure the opportunities that units express interest in and coordinate with partners to ensure availability and alignment with unit and event schedules.
