District Award Recipients
The North Shore District is proud of our Scouts and Scouters and is very pleased to recognize their outstanding achievements at our District Awards presentation each year. This page is established to highlight our most recent awardees. You will find our past awardees on the pages in the menu at the right.
We are currently accepting your input for Scouting year 2022 nominating Scouts and Scouters who exemplify the principles of Scouting including the Scout Oath and the Scout Law for any of the following awards.
Past Awardees
District Award of Merit – The highest award that a district can bestow.
Silver Squirrel – North Shore District’s own special recognition for exceptional service to young people.
Northern Star – Honors district volunteers and exceptional leaders (“stars”) in each Scouting unit of North Shore District.
Unit Leaders of the Year – The Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, Advisor, Skipper, or Varsity Leader who stands a step above, nominated by peers or the district committee.
Scout of the Year – The Scout, from any Scouting program, who goes the extra mile for the unit and the community.
District Volunteer Hall of Fame
A special place is reserved in our hearts for those Scouters who, through their exemplary example, have come to define the excellence that we of the North Shore District constantly strive for in our service to our community, to Scouting, and to our children. This is the special place on our website reserved to celebrate our best.
