On November 6th, 2020 we took the long drive to Inks Lake. We got there around 9:00 pm and then we began our trek to our campsites. We had to hike in the dark with our heavy bags and we got lost twice. Though there was a silver lining at one point during our hike, a small amount of our group got a bit lost and we got to take a small break, though at that point we were very close to our campsites (each patrol had their own campsite) so we endured the rest of the hike and at about 10:20 pm we finally got to our campsites and other then a PLC meeting we got to set up our campsite and go to sleep for the night.

We woke up around 6 am to hike to out to the trailer and get our cooking stuff and food. It took a long time to get our stuff and we were a bit late to our meeting place for our service project, but the troop hadn’t left yet so we were ok. We got to the service project area and we learned what had to do: we had to cut down a plant that was making it hard to hike and drive down the path, so for about two or three hours we cut down the plants. After the service project the park ranger took us to the bird watching area and for 30 minutes or so we got to watch and learn about cool birds. Then we hiked back to the campsite and got to chill and hangout until we did geocaching. Later two of the people in our patrols hid geocaches for the rest of us to find. We then split into groups and learned how to use a geocaching app and GPS. We then found the geocaches and relaxed.

Later we went to our campfire (there was a burn ban and all we could use was lights) and we did skits. After that we all went to bed. We then tore down camp the next day and then the trailer came up to the road that was cutting our campsites from the trail. We hiked down there and at around 11 am we got home and then the campout for that month came to a close.
