Troop 161 had the amazing opportunity to go to the grand opening for the new Home Depot in Leander. A few scouts and adults were able to perform a flag ceremony to mark the occasion and honor the community event. Employees, families, and local residents all gathered to watch the presentation and celebrate the opening day. The ceremony highlighted the troop’s commitment to leadership, service, and patriotism. We are grateful for the opportunity to support new businesses in our community and represent our scouting values. As scouts we recommend other troops to do the same for other occasions in the community. They don’t have to always be grand openings. It can be as simple as hosting one for your school or local church.
