2020 is finally over and it is now time to make the unit’s accomplishments official. First, you need to fill out the scorecard matching your unit type: Pack, Troop, Crew, Ship. Find and download the scorecard for your unit here: https://www.scouting.org/awards/journey-to-excellence/unit/

The scorecard is divided into 4 categories: Planning and Budget, Membership, Program, and Volunteer Leadership, but the individual requirements will vary depending on the unit type. The scorecards this year are slightly different compared to previous years due to the Covid-19 limitations. As a result, it is strongly recommended that you do read carefully the instructions on the last tab.

Once the scorecard completed, you will need to have it signed by your unit ‘in house’ key-3 (e.g. Committee Chair & Cubmaster/Scoutmaster) as well as your unit commissioner. For North Shore District, Kevin Clark (former district chair, current district commissioner: kfclark1962@yahoo.com) can sign it as well.

If you are registering service hours, make sure to have them entered in Scoutbook’s Internet Advancements, meaning that you need to be a key-3 delegate in Scoutbook.

To submit the scorecard electronically, you can contact Melanie Crawford (Melanie.Crawford@scouting.org) or Bill Kohl (Bill.Kohl@scouting.org).

The supporting documents collected along the way should be kept in case they are requested by the Council after you submitted your scorecard.
