While some units may be holding masked and socially-distanced meetings and campouts in person for those who can safely join in, Zoom remains a way to involve at-home scouts each week and all famililes for courts of honor. Facing another online court of honor for December, Troops 258 & 358 chose to go all out for their Star Wars theme. Images and short video clips of scouts and leaders masked as their favorite Star Wars characters were recorded at in-person events, backgrounds replaced, and then interspersed with the Zoom slideshow of awards and recognition. Scout emcees even included Star Wars jokes into the script. Scouts had a fun time creating and watching the show. This is the way!
