Popcorn Season is upon us with some important dates.
Popcorn Season might seem like a distant thought, but storefront registration and unit signup is due soon! Be sure to get your unit signed up with Trail’s End by July 19. If you have a local business (not a larger regional or national chain) that you would like to have as a storefront selling location, please let us know ASAP. Our district needs to get these secured and registered by May 31.
If you don’t have a Unit Popcorn Kernel (adult lead volunteer), now is the time to find a parent to fill that role. If you have an all-star scout or scouting family who knows the Trail’s End system, ask them to step in as a mentor for parents who don’t have experience and to be a point of contact for our North Shore District Popcorn Kernel Nick Rietsch. Having one person as the go-to contact makes life easier for your parents, your committee, and for the district to send you vital information about popcorn. We have a little to-do list for every unit:
- Make sure that your unit (Packs, Troops, Crew, Ship) has a Popcorn Kernel.
- Register your unit in Trails-End (deadline is July 19th).
- Sign up for the Council Popocorn Sales Newsletter.

- May 31st Final Day to Submit Storefront suggetions to Trail’s End
- July 19th Unit Registration Deadline
- July 20th to 23rd Booth Selections
- August 1st Pre-sale (take order and online only)
- August 26th Unit Order Due
- September 11th Popcorn Distribution Day
- September 14th Neighborhood Blitz Day
- September 20th Storefront Booths Begin
- November 3rd Last day for all in-person sales
The booth selection count will be based on the 2023 sales.
