Troops 258 and 358 camped at Pedernales Falls State Park in early June 2021. The rain mostly held off for the weekend hike and activities. Scouts planned a 5-mile hike around Wolf Mountain Trail including Jones Spring and the 150-year-old ruins of the Jones house. Troops had lunch on the trail then headed back to camp (actual mileage 7.5 miles). With all the recent the rains, the wildflowers were out in abundance, aparently confused as to the season. And the river was not safe for swimming, but the falls were a quite a site!  The troops suggest reserving the Youth Group campsite because it has plenty of space (could hold 100+) and is secluded from the rest of the public areas. Highly recommended.
