Popcorn Time
Calling all Popcorn Kernels! Take advantage of the Trail’s End Popcorn Fundraiser to fund your unit program. Our district Popcorn Kernel, Kristi Palm, will fill you in on all of the details for the upcoming season and share some tips from the nation’s 9th top-selling unit of 2020!

More Cub Scout Pack and Den program resources centered on the theme of “A Scout is obedient”. This month will be in the Roundtable Helps only. There will be no separate session track.

Roundtable PLC
Just as our youth plan and prepare for their own Scouting adventure in their unit, we as adult leaders have the opportunity to do the same. Join us as we decide on the topics your adult leaders would find the most meaningful at upcoming North Shore District Roundtables.

The mystery of Roundtable topics is “Where do they come from?” and the answer is YOU! We want to know what is important to you so join us and share your thoughts during this open forum event.

Put a smile on their faces with these fun and engaging songs, skits, run-ons, and more. We will write our own song this month that you can take back to your units for a truly memorable Pack or Den meeting.
Recruiting Scouts
A year and a half into the global pandemic, we have all seen the effect on our unit rosters but we have learned a thing or two about how to run a safe and effective unit program. Let’s put those lessons learned into action to grow Scouting!

Diversity in Menu Planning

A Scout is reverent and and must observe the dietary restrictions of their faith. Your unit may also have members with medically required diets. Learn how to plan a campout menu that is respectful of the various dietary restrictions in your Pack. Troop, or Team.
Scout Law (Thrifty) –
Ceremonies, skits, songs, etc.
Make the most of what you have, including your den and pack program items like songs, skits, audience participation, and more. We will focus on adapting and repurposing existing program items to fit your unit, theme, etc. 
Little Known Camping Spots
We have a list of real gems that your troop will love right here in Texas. We will share the details about what makes them special and would love to hear your favorites as well.

Your Cub and Scouts BSA Roundtable teams invite you to our monthly Roundtable training on the second Thursday of each month. The North Shore District Key 3 will be in attendance to fill us in on the happenings of the North Shore District and the Capitol Area Council. Join one of our 3 breakout sessions for Cub Scout leaders, Scouts BSA leaders, and another for all Scouting leaders. There is something for everyone. We sincerely hope to see you there!
