Coming Soon! North Shore Breakfast for Scouting May 29th!
We are excited to announce that we are bringing back our North Shore Breakfast for Scouting, the first time North Shore will be hosting a community breakfast since 2019. What is the North Shore Breakfast for Scouting? The breakfast is our district’s opportunity to fulfill two essential missions.
The first is to provide vital funds to help the North Shore District and the Capitol Area Council bring scouting to more kids in central Texas and to make sure we are able to provide the excellent program and program support that people have come to love about our Council, all without a Council Fee.
The second essential mission is to get community leaders, both civic and business, in the room to learn about the important work Scouting does to provide youth with the opportunity to be prepared for life. Scouting participation is directly connected to the future success of children and is an important part of building resilient and engaged citizens for our future.
We encourage you to come and participate in this breakfast to see what scouts are doing in our council and district. We also need your help. If you know of a community leader who should be invited to attend our breakfast, please invite them! If you confirm anyone, including yourself, who would like to attend, please send me an RSVP email with the names of the attendees so I can add you to the list. If you would like to help secure a local businesses sponsorship, please let me know, I’d love to help.
We have one sponsor so far that we are excited to have onboard. The University of Texas Golf Club has stepped up as a sponsor at our Platinum level, $2500. We appreciate their support of kids in our community!
Below you can see the flyer for this event. If you need copies of the flyer to hand out, please let us know, we’ll get copies to you ASAP. The flyer details the breakfast details and other things that community leaders can help with in volunteer roles. The more people in the community we can get involved with Scouting, the more kids will get involved and will benefit from the life long learning that comes from being a Scout!
