Popcorn season is over, so what to do with the leftovers?
Scouts from Troops 258 & 358 and Pack 170 dropped off popcorn at the Leander police station, Fire Station #5 (neighbor to the troops’ chartered org), and for the ER staff at Cedar Park Regional Hospital.
Many units routinely order extra to Be Prepared. (“Prepared for what?” “Why, for any old thing.” – BP). And with 2020 being such a taxing year for our first responders, the scouts prepared to divide their donations between police, fire, and hospital workers. And of course military donations as usual too. The units sent a big thank you to all the first responders and they were greatly appreciated as both snacks and morale boosters.
Note: Before donating in person, make sure to contact any office first to check on Covid protocols which vary widely for donated goods. Some places may not take anything at this time.
