From the Editor:

10 years doing anything is a significant milestone for any Scout or Scouter. Back in 2014, when when today’s youngest troop members were born, and when our district was only a few years old, the North Shore Newsletter began. The first editor, Dave Aronson, had just completed his Wood Badge training course and made the newsletter a part of his ticket. Ten years later, we can definelty say that he left a legacy with North Shore. (And Dave now writes the Council’s Sea Scouting newsletter.)

Welcome to 2024! After ten years, I am happy to report that the North Shore Newsletter is still going strong. As we celebrate this milestone throughout the year, watch the newsletter and website for valuable additions: new & historic videos, Wood Badge project resources, and more camp reviews, recipes, recognitions, and notes from the district archive.

Most importantly, the newsletter needs input from you! Any Scout or Scouter can contribute. Send us your photos, recipes, camp reviews, program hints & tips…or send us your ideas and questions. What do you want to see on the website and in the newsletter over the next ten years?

Yours in Scouting,

Tim Urban

North Shore Newsletter Editor
