The Capital Area Council Climbing committee would like to extend an invitation to all Scouting units to have a day climbing at Doks tower or a mini C.O.P.E session on us!
The new C.O.P.E course at Lost Pines is under construction. If you have been recently at Lost pines, you may have seen the high course structures. However a successful C.O.P.E event also involves low to the ground activities. The construction of low course structures is not complete and the Climbing Committee is reaching out to our units for assistance.
The committee has the plans, the instructions and materials for the low course structures; now they need to have them built. The committee has prepared instructions that enable units to complete or partially complete a structure within a 6-8 hour timeframe. In return for your assistance the committee will host a climbing event, of your choice, for you unit.
If your unit is searching for events for your scouts to complete service hours, then look no further. The climbing committee has a list of service projects supporting the climbing facilities at Lost Pines.
