ILST – Trained and Ready to Lead

Scouts from Troops 161, 258, and 358 spent the weekend learning about leadership at Smilin V during the North Shore Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops.  The majority of instructors were youth who have completed or staffed Capitol Area Council’s National Youth Leadership Training.

The tools and skills of leadership were taught through games and interactive discussions.  Scouts focused on honing their vision for their role in the troops and how to implement what they learned in their patrols and troops.

BALOO

Scouters from several Capitol Area Council districts and Longhorn Council enjoyed the BALOO training weekend learning essential Cub skills and seeing what potential their Cubs have by watching the older youth teach the ISLT. BALOO adults joined the ILST training for evening campfire fun.

Thank you to all who participated and made this a fantastic training weekend!
