Last month we announced that District Commissioner Tim Pacl will be stepping down after this year but did not name his successor. That problem is being remedied here. I am happy to announce that Assistant District Commissioner for Cub Scouting Jennifer Fortenberry has agreed to take on the role of District Commissioner beginning January 1, 2027.

Many of you already know Jennifer from her work on North Shore’s Membership Committee but beyond that she brings a wide range of knowledge and skills to the District Commissioner role. As Social Studies Department Head at Cedar Park High School, Jennifer is an experienced leader and mentor. She has served both packs and troops including 3 years as committee chair of pack 160. After completing Wood Badge in 2023, Jennifer joined the North Shore Commissioner Corps as unit commissioner for packs 160 and 172. She took on the role of Assistant District Commissioner for Cub Scouting in 2025 and has helped plan our roundtables throughout her tenure as a commissioner.

Tim and Jennifer will spend the rest of 2026 turning over to ensure a smooth transition. Tim expects to stay with the North Shore Commissioner Corps after stepping down as District Commissioner.
