Scouts of All Ages Needed to Serve at Cedar Park’s 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony
On Friday, September 11, our community will gather at Veterans Memorial Park to commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001. North Shore District has been asked to support American Legion Post 911 during this important remembrance—and we still need Cub Scouts and Scouts to volunteer.
This is more than an opportunity to earn service hours. It is an opportunity for our Scouts to put service, citizenship, and respect into action while helping our community honor those who lost their lives and all who were forever impacted by September 11.
Friday, September 11, 2026 | Veterans Memorial Park, Cedar Park
Ceremony: 7:00–8:00 p.m. | Volunteer Shift: 6:00–8:30 p.m.
Volunteers will be given age-appropriate tasks, so both Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA members can participate. Parent supervision is required, and registered leaders are encouraged to volunteer in uniform as well.
Scouts should wear their Field Uniform (blue, tan, or green) with neckerchief and slide, appropriate uniform bottoms, and closed-toe shoes.
We truly need our Scouting families to help fill the remaining volunteer spots. If your family is available that evening, please consider giving a few hours in service to this meaningful community event.
