Attention all Scouts BSA Troops… There will be no Scouts BSA Roundtable on August 11th. Instead of attending Roundtable, we have developed an opportunity for the troops to get out and recruit on that night instead. We have made arrangements with the middle schools in LISD to have a booth at the 6th grade open house night. We would love to see each middle school have a youth male, a youth female and two adult leaders to represent Scouting. Be sure to have things on your table that will appeal to the 6th graders that walk by. Anything scout related and eye catching will work; camping gear, bottle rockets, etc. Be sure to have flyers to advertise your troop recruiting events coming up and a sign up sheet to collect contact information for the families that visit your booth. We are working on a district wide recruiting event, hopefully to be held on Saturday, September 10th. We are still finalizing the details of that and we will get the information out to you all ASAP.
