The North Shore District is pleased to welcome our new District Chairperson, Darryl T. Agostinelli. Some of you will recognize Darryl as he has been active in the North Shore District, serving as Committe Chair, Cubmaster, Unit Commissioner, and more.
For his other job, Darryl is Chief Technical Officer for the New England Center for Children. He has been a real estate broker, a programmer in many different computer languages, and he founded his own consulting company, Saggio Technologies, to help companies identify and solve problems. Darryl will be bringing his broad experience to the North Shore District to help us grow and thrive in the years ahead.
Here are some of his thoughts about his immediate priorities for our District:
- I think recruiting should be a priority these next few months. Especially recruiting girls.
- Family scouting.
- Summer programming. Never too late to have a summer program. Never a wrong time to recruit.
- And we need to upend the prohibition about recruiting 6th and 7th graders. Girls change that rule. We need to recruit in middle school. The troops are going to feel it bad in a year or two if we don’t.
Ready, set, let’s get crackin’! Please join me in welcoming Darryl to his new role leading the North Shore District. If you have questions for Darryl or any of our district leaders, you can reach out using the contact infor on our district leaders page.
