Description:

The North Shore District has a unique opportunity for Scouter willing to take on the role of Cub Scout Training Chair. This is a unique opportunity because you will have the opportunity to ramp up under the guidance of the current Cub Training Chair.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This poisition is for a Scouts BSA Training Chair. The Scouts BSA Training Chair is responsible to the District Training Chair for planning, promoting, and delivering Scouts BSA leader training in the North Shore district, including Den Chief training and other courses as needed.

Required Skills

The following skills are required for the Webmaster role:

  • Willingness to do this work
  • Willingness to learn the desired skills
  • Willingness to teach / mentor other instructors and students
  • Cheerfulness, helpfulness, friendliness, and the other 9 points of the Scout Law.

Desired Skills

The following skills are used in fulfilling the duties and responsibilities of the Scouts BSA Training Chair. If you do not already have the desired skills, but are willing to learn them, we will work with you to help you learn them. The current District Training Chair will be available to mentor you as you ramp up.

  • Organizational skills including scheduling, tracking, recruiting, delegation, and goal setting.
  • Effective communications.
  • Instructional skills.
