Assistant Cub Roundtable Commissioner

The North Shore Roundtable team is looking for an Assistant Roundtable Commissioner for the Cub Scout track. This person will work with the Cub Scout Roundtable team to plan, promote, and deliver a high quality Roundtable program in a fun and consistent manner. This is an opportunity to learn new skills and to sharpen existing skills as well as to improve the overall Cub Scout experience across the North Shore district.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This poisition is for an Assistant Cub Scout Roundtable Commissioner focused on Den Leaders. The Assistant Cub Scout Roundtable Commissioner for Den Leader Programs is responsible to the Cub Scout Roundtable Commissioner for planning, promoting, and delivery a fun, consistent, and high quality program for den leaders in the North Shore district, including:
- Attend monthly Roundtable planning meetings.
- Attend the monthly Roundtable meetings.
- Coordinate the schedule of Roundtable topic(s) for the den leader program.
- Maintain district “phone tree” of den leader contact information to effectively promote the district Roundtable to den leaders.
- Recruit assistants as needed to deliver an effective monthly program. Assistants may include, but are not limited to: phone tree captains, presenters, and Roundtable hosts.
- When needed, present Roundtable topics that you have expertise in.
- Identify and train a replacement Assistant Roundtable Commissioner to ensure uninterrupted execution of these responsibilities should the position become vacant for any reason.

Desired Skills
The following skills are used in fulfilling the duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Roundtable Commissioner for Den Leader Programs. If you do not already have the desired skills, but are willing to learn them, we will work with you to help you learn them. We already have all of these desired skills in the Roundtable Team so we can teach you and mentor you as you ramp up.
- Organizational skills including scheduling, tracking, recruiting, delegation, and goal setting.
- Effective communications.
- Prepare Roundtable sessions using PowerPoint or equivalent presentation applications.
- Work with the Cub Scout Roundtable team to coordinate the den leader Roundtable program with the other Cub Scout tracks (Pack Leaders, Pack Committee).
- Post program helps for den leaders to the district website.
