Pack 171 hosted Join Scouting Nights at three area schools this fall, leaning into the Council theme of “Race into Scouting” by setting up LEGO derbies run by den leaders while their adults heard a brief overview of Cub Scouts and Pack 171. The atmosphere was electric; the Cubs were trying new designs, cheering each other on, and helping to tidy up. The pack then went right into their first pack meeting and annual family orientation on September 3rd, tying Bobcat into the evening’s events as well as the beloved tradition of sharing a dinner at all pack meetings.
