Come learn about orienteering with Troops 258 and 358! We will have a mile-long orienteering course in the Cedar Park area. All local area Webelos and Scouts BSA scouts are welcome to attend! This will satisfy Scouts BSA 2nd Class requirement 3a and 1st Class requirement 4a.
Who we are:
Troop 258 & Troop 358 are young, active youth-led scout troops in the Cedar Park and Leander, Texas area. We meet every Tuesday at Good News Methodist Church at 7:00 pm, and camp every month at locations chosen by the Scouts themselves! Activities at our campouts can include rock climbing, canoeing, shooting sports, or even a fun day at the waterpark! No matter what, our scouts always come home happy and full of scouting memories, skills, and bonds that will never be broken. We also host various other activities to strengthen scout skills, and we teach our scouts how to be leaders in their community with the opportunity to be a part of our Patrol Leaders Council.
Every summer, our troops go to a weeklong summer camp chosen by the scouts as well. Here, they will earn multiple merit badges and rank requirements, as well as have tons of fun with their fellow scouts. This is an opportunity you can’t miss!
