North Shore troops are springing into action this fall to help “pay it forward” by spreading the word about what scouting has to offer and helping to recruit the next generation of young scouts!
On Monday, August 11, Leander ISD Elementary Schools host their annual Meet the Teacher Nights, and this year, troops from across the North Shore will be attending to assist the packs in reaching new families within our community.
Parents of older scouts are able to speak with parents of young people all over our district to help them learn about the incredible benefits of scouting. Meanwhile scouts from our troops will be able to engage with elementary age boys and girls to let them know how much fun scouting can be!
Later in the fall many troops will be sending older scouts to assist with “Join Scouting Nights” all over the district, by helping the event facilitators lead the children in games and fun, while parents get to learn and ask questions about scouting.
If you or your unit has questions about this initiative or would like to know more about how you can help. Please reach out to the membership team at <membership@northshoredistrict.org> or attend the next Roundtable Meeting!
