Troop 234 continued its tradition in 2021 – this time with masks – of attending Camp Tahuaya’s annual trout tournament on January 23-24. Tahuaya, part of the Longhorn Council, is located in Belton upon a spring fed lake that was once a source of bottled water. The camp brings in trout from Missouri both in December and January each year to offer 5 days of trout fishing during the month. The tournament provides a chance for each participant to catch up to six trout. For troops looking to camp on scout property, Tahuaya is one of several opportunities.
