Communications Committee Description
The Communications committee strives to provide useful and necessary information to the members of the North Shore District in a timely and effective manner. To do this, we leverage different communications channels including:
- Facebook: This a familiar and interactive medium that allows for real-time discussions. The NorthShore District operates 2 Facebook pages: North Shore BSA and North Shore District Twilight Camp.
- Website: This is our website. It is the hub of our communications and provides connections to all other communications channels and they connect back here. The website includes information about, and from, the district key 3 and the district committee and its subcommittees. The website maintains archives of key content like our monthly district newsletter and Roundtable helps.
- Newsletter: The newsletter is published monthly at the beginning of each month and conveys useful information about recent and upcoming events that are of interest to members of the North Shore District. All units in the North Shore district are encouraged to contribute to the newsletter. Publicize the great things your Crew, Troop, or Pack are doing to share the fun with others and get the word out about your unit program.
- Email lists: Mailing lists are used to target certain communications to specific groups in the North Shore District such as:
- packs@lists.
