The Boy Scouts of America and the Capitol Area Council’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) vision is to partner with all families and communities in raising young people of high moral character, developing their leadership skills, and preparing them to serve and thrive in a world of increasing complexity and challenge by establishing diversity as a focus for all areas and promoting inclusion through race / ethnicity, age, gender, faith, and socioeconomic conditions throughout our 15 county service area.
So, how can we achieve this? That is what partnership is all about. The Boy Scouts of America has established a strategic plan and prepared a quick, online training class to get us started in just 30 to 45 minutes along with a variety of other resources. The Capitol Area Council also provides resources specific to our council to help us achieve these aims.
