On Saturday, April 26, during It’s My Park Day at Cedar Park Rec Center, 22 dedicated volunteers from Troop 161, Troop 258, and Pack 171, including Scouts, parents, and Scouters, came together to help clean up the 1-mile trails around the pond area. Their hard work paid off with the collection of 4,156 pieces of trash, making a big difference for the fish and turtles that call the pond home. Many Scouts also took a step toward earning their Scouting for Clean Waterways patch. A big thank-you goes out to all who participated — your efforts truly made an impact! We’re already looking forward to seeing even more volunteers (and even fewer pieces of trash!) next year.
