University of Scouting 2024 is one for the hidtory books. The North Shore District was well represented with 24 of the 140 attendees, that’s over 15%. We had 8 of our 31 units represented this year in a wide variety of unit, district, and council roles. The top unit attendance was Pack 1720 with 7 Scouters including 2 of their Key 3!
This year, University of Scouting offered over 60 courses in 3 colleges: General Studies, Cub Scouting, and Scouts BSA. General Studies was a new track that included STEM topics like we have had in recent years, but so much more. Also new this year was our lunchtime program, “Meet the Commissioners”, with Council Commissioner Kuruvila Mani and 7 other Assistant Council Commissioners and District Commissioners talking about how the commissioner corps can help you and answering your questions.
Those are the numbers but more important are the learning, experiences, and contacts, that happened there.
