A Scout is “Honest”… where is that in the Scout Law? Of course it is a part of trustworthy, an essential part. To be trustworthy means that others can “trust” in the things you say. That you speak the truth… you are honest. But more than that, trustworthy means you will do what you say you will do and that you can be “trusted” to do the right thing. So, “trustworthy” transcends honesty in words to include honesty of action and honesty of character. It is no mistake that “Trustworthy” is the first point of the Scout Law. A Scout should always be worthy of trust.
